Tamara Baskin Born and raised in Israel, Tamara Baskin moved to the United States where she began her career in art. She had twenty years experience working in several mediums, but was drawn to the art of fused glass production. Her emphasis was in creating elegant but functional pieces designed to celebrate Jewish life cycles. Her tzedakah boxes, menorahs, seder plates appear in the homes throughout the world.
Never content with sitting back, she forged ahead by experimenting with new shapes, colors, patterns, and materials. Tamara became a true leader in the glass industry by both judaica and non-judaica guilds throughout the world.
In the past few years, she moved beyond the confines of functional judaica. This new vision led to the production of larger pieces of ornamental art.
On August 11, 2007, Tamara Baskin passed away. Her designs continue to be produced by her family and staff.

Danny Azoulay
Danny Azoulay, born in Morocco, was raised in Israel and attended the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. His designs reflect the scrolling floral patterns typical in Middle Eastern art. |

Laser-cut Aluminum Menorah in Silver
Israeli artist Danny Azoulay designed this magnificent menorah for Hanukkah. Laser-cut silver/grey anodized aluminum. Removable candle cups for ease of dripped wax cleanup. Dimensions 10"t x 11-1/2"w x 5-1/4"d. Also available in satin gold. |
Don Gidley and Sue Parke The creative force hiding behind "Acme Animal" is Don Gidley and Sue Parke. Those with an eye for the quirky will delight in their mostly functional sculptures. Sue's sense of whimsy, and Don's eye for geometry and line have merged in Acme Animal menorahs, candleholders, and ornaments that come in all manner of animal or vegetable. In a studio filled with sheets of aluminum, scroll saws, and rivets, Don cuts while Sue paints. She uses bold combinations of color to give the pieces life and brush strokes adapted from stage painting. The pair met while working on theater sets. The hardworking Canadian artists see their work as urban folk art, or folk art with an urban sensibility. Too much fun. |

Noah's Ark Menorah This Menorah features pairs removable animal figurines, giraffes, elephants, lions, sheep, and chickens, marching two by two. Each animal stands alone and can be moved around. Palm Tree menorah A very whimsical & happy Menorah displaying an imaginative jungle scene with a friendly lion and his feisty fine feathered friend. This menorah is handcrafted. Dan Shamir Dan Shamir, an Israeli artist, is a painter and sculptor in the naive style, who works in a variety of disciplines. His works share a central motif of intense color and rich texture, which combine to transmit a sense of optimistic and tranquil reality to the viewer. The works on display are designed by Shamir using special technologies paying close attention to quality. They are made from laser cut metals and are silk screened on both sides in vivid colors. On some a three dimensional effect is achieved by intricately assembling them in several layers.
